Privacy Policy

SoulTwins is built on a simple principle: the most meaningful things you can send someone are personal, not monetized. This privacy policy reflects that. We've written it in plain language because you deserve to understand it.

What We Collect

We collect as little as possible. Here is the complete list:

• Quiz results. When you complete the soul archetype quiz, your result is stored in your browser's localStorage. It never leaves your device and is never sent to our servers.
• Soul messages. When you send a soul message using the "Send a Message" feature, the message content is encoded directly into the shareable link. We do not store your message on any server.
• Standard server logs. Like all websites, our server automatically records basic access information: your IP address, the page you requested, your browser type, and the date and time of the request. These logs are used solely for security monitoring and are retained for no more than 30 days.

What We Do Not Collect

• We do not require you to create an account.
• We do not ask for your name, email address, or any personal identifying information.
• We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your information with any third party.
• We do not use cookies beyond what your browser does automatically.

Third-Party Services

SoulTwins uses Google Fonts to render the typefaces used across the site (Cormorant Garamond and Inter). When your browser loads these fonts, Google may receive your IP address as part of a standard web request. Google's privacy policy governs how they handle that data. We do not pass any additional information to Google.

No other third-party services are loaded on SoulTwins pages.

Soul Messages and Sharing

When you use the "Send a Message" feature, the message you write is encoded into a URL that you share directly with the recipient. That URL is generated in your browser — SoulTwins never sees or stores the message content. The recipient opens the link in their browser, and the message is decoded there. There is no database entry, no record, and no copy retained anywhere on our systems.

SoulTwins for iPhone

This section covers the SoulTwins app for iPhone. The short version: the app does not collect any personal data. Everything it keeps stays on your device.

• No data collection. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking and no third-party SDKs. We never receive anything you do in the app.
• Quiz and archetype. Your quiz answers and your soul archetype are stored on your device only.
• Journal. Journal entries are encrypted on your device (AES-GCM, with the key kept in the iOS Keychain). They never leave your device.
• Daily reflection reminders. Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone. There is no push server.
• Siri "Soul check-in". When you check in with Siri, your speech is handled by Apple's speech services under Apple's privacy policy. The resulting text is saved only to your on-device journal.
• Soul cards. When you share a Soul card, its message is encoded in the link you choose to send. It is not stored on our servers, but anyone who has the link can read the message, so share it only with people you mean it for.
• Widgets. Home Screen widgets read only the dates of your journal entries (never their contents) and your archetype, through an App Group that stays on your device.

Deleting your data

You can delete everything the app has stored at any time in Settings → Erase all data, or by deleting the app from your iPhone. Because nothing is stored on our servers, there is nothing else for us to delete.

Children

The SoulTwins app is not directed at children under 13.

Children's Privacy

SoulTwins is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used this site and provided personal information in any way, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of SoulTwins after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
